Born 1957 in Concord, New Hampshire.

In New York, exhibitions with Barbara Gladstone Gallery, the PaceWildenstein, then Luhring Augustine Gallery. In Europe shows with Monika Sprueth and Bruno Bischofberger, among others. Interest in music leads him to learn how to play the mandolin. Also interest in writing. Artistic collaborations with William S. Burroughs. Condo's figurative painting in the mid-to-late eighties presages the interest in figurative painting that emerged in the second half of the nineties in New York. Currently the most comprehensive literature is The Imaginary Portraits of George Condo published by PowerHouse books.

George Condo lives and works in New York with his wife and two children.
